Overview
Warwickshire County Council is recruiting for a Children’s Residential Care Practitioner to support newly opened Children’s homes in Nuneaton, Bedworth, Stratford-on-Avon and Leamington Spa. Homes are registered and graded good. You will work directly with children and their families, providing a safe and caring environment to help them achieve their goals. This is a full-time role with shift patterns, including some weekends, evenings, and sleeping in the home.
To be a Children’s Residential Practitioner you need to be ambitious for young people and capable of building positive relationships and delivering appropriate care within a team.
Responsibilities
* The quality of day-to-day care, the administration and the organisation of the Children’s Home, ensuring care plans for Children and Young People are followed.
* Ensure that all statutory regulations, additional instructions and good practice are adhered to, and records are maintained.
* Promote and maintain positive anti-discriminatory and anti-racist practices.

Residential Care Practitioner: The role will require shift working including some weekends, evenings, and sleeping in the home. Additional pay is offered for unsociable hours and sleep-ins.
