Undertake all roadworthy checks of Vehicles and Trailers Ensure that vehicles are driven with due care and attention when in the Terminal or on the Public Highway ensuring that by means of correct driving the maximum possible economy is achieved. Responsible for the safety of the load and the vehicle at all times and ensuring that where parked off site, the necessary security/safety requirements are met. Responsible for the prompt collection/delivery of containers to the designated point. Responsible for the prompt submission of all relevant details regarding damage to Company property or customers property or of accidents involving the general public in accordance with the Drivers Rulebook. Responsible for all collection/delivery documentation Maintain and record tachograph discs and any other relevant logs, in accordance with legal and Company requirements. You are expected to keep you assigned vehicle clean, tidy and odour free Occasional nights away from home should be expected for which a Night out allowance will be paid.
