The role of Sous Chef at Aria Healthcare's Gildawood Court in Nuneaton, Warwickshire is part of a 60‑bedded residential, dementia and palliative care home. The position requires a highly skilled chef with experience in the IDDSI framework to create fresh, nutritious meals for residents. The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef, lead by example, showcase creative flair to deliver high‑level hospitality, mentor the team and progress within the Chef Academy. This is a full‑time, straight‑shift role (40 hours per week, 7 am to 6 pm) with no evening shifts and alternative weekend duties.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management.
* Lead by example and exhibit culinary creativity.
* Create fresh, nutritious meals for residents following the IDDSI framework.
* Mentor team members and contribute to staff development in the Chef Academy.
* Maintain the highest standards of hospitality and cleanliness.
Qualifications
* Experience in the IDDSI framework.
* Full‑time, 40‑hour per week schedule – 7 am to 6 pm.
* Availability for alternative weekend work.
* Pay: £13.50 per hour.
