Site Agent - Civil Engineering
Up to £65,000 per annum (salary dependent on experience)
Are you an experienced Site Agent looking to play a key role on a major highways infrastructure scheme that will transform regional connectivity? My client is seeking a capable Site Agent to support the delivery of a key stage of the scheme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Agent to join a leading Tier One civil engineering contractor and work on a large-scale highways development that will reduce congestion, improve journey reliability and support economic growth across Herefordshire. As Site Agent, you will play a crucial role in managing site operations, coordinating teams and ensuring the successful delivery of this significant infrastructure project.
Work on a major regional infrastructure scheme
My client is a highly respected Tier One contractor with a heritage dating back over 200 years, delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. Known for delivering high-quality schemes that create lasting benefits for communities and businesses, they continue to play a major role in shaping the UK's infrastructure.
Joining the Civil Engineering division, you will support the delivery of a significant highways scheme in Hereford as part of a two-stage design and build development forming part of a wider transport improvement programme.
What you will be doing
As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing site activities and supporting the wider project leadership team to ensure the scheme is delivered safely, efficiently and within programme.
You will be doing the following:
·Managing and supervising site teams and subcontractors
·Supporting the planning and coordination of project activities
·Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with health, safety and environmental standards
·Monitoring project progress against programme and reporting updates to the project leadership team
·Coordinating resources, materials and labour on site
·Ensuring high standards of quality and workmanship across all site activities
·Supporting cost control and ensuring works are delivered within budget
·Liaising with the client, designers and key project stakeholders
·Attending and contributing to project progress meetings
·Maintaining site documentation and project records
·Ensuring compliance with company procedures and site-specific protocols
·Identifying risks and supporting the implementation of mitigation measures
Skills and experience you will need
To succeed as Site Agent, you will bring strong experience delivering civil engineering or highways projects and have the ability to coordinate site operations and lead teams effectively.
You will ideally have:
·A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
·Significant experience working as a Site Agent or in a similar site leadership role
·Experience delivering civil engineering or highways infrastructure projects
·Strong knowledge of construction methods and engineering principles
·Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing site operations
·Good understanding of project planning, resource management and cost control
·Strong communication and leadership skills
·Ability to identify risks and support solutions to maintain project progress
·A full UK driving licence
