Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Housing Support Worker (Homeless Hostel / Key Worker) include:Resident Induction and Engagement: Carrying out resident welcomes, inductions and ongoing engagement within the hostelSupport Planning and Case Management: Developing, reviewing and maintaining person-centred support plans in partnership with residentsRisk Assessment and Safeguarding: Completing, reviewing and updating risk assessments in line with organisational proceduresKey Working Sessions: Holding regular, planned case management sessions using a flexible and strengths-based approachMulti-Agency Working: Liaising with external agencies including health services, probation, housing and social careResident Progression: Supporting residents to access benefits, activities, services and move-on accommodationRecord Keeping and Administration: Maintaining accurate, timely records including support plans, risk assessments and case notesHealth And Safety Compliance: Conducting building and room checks and reporting health and safety concerns appropriatelyResident Participation: Encouraging resident involvement in activities and service developmentProfessional Practice: Upholding safeguarding, confidentiality, professional boundaries and equality standards at all timesCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALProven experience of working full-time within a homeless hostel or similar supported housing environmentDemonstrable experience of working with homeless individuals with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse and offending-related issuesStrong experience of support planning, risk assessments and ongoing case management within a hostel settingExperience of holding and managing a caseload, delivering consistent and structured supportA confident understanding of safeguarding, risk management and professional boundaries when working with vulnerable adultsExcellent communication, interpersonal and engagement skillsThe ability to maintain accurate records and complete clear written reportsA flexible, resilient and person-centred approach to support workDESIRABLEA relevant qualification in Housing, Health and Social Care or a related fieldExperience of multi-agency working within homelessness or supported housing servicesKnowledge of outcomes-based assessment tools and harm reduction approachesThis role requires an Enhanced DBS checkHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
