This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work within the highways industry, including both major framework and local authority works, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Surfacing Supervisor to join their delivery team.
This is a full-time permanent position based in the Staffordshire area.
Your new role
As Surfacing Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day site operations on surfacing projects
Supervising operations to ensure that work is completed to expected quality, adhering to contract specifications and minimising the need for remedial actions
Monitoring work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
Conducting regular site inspections to identify and address any potential issues or hazards
Completing daily reports and submitting them at the end of each visit, including copies of dimensions, supply issues and waiting times
Completing site-specific risk assessments to ensure appropriate control measures are in place for safe work execution
Supervising and ensuring all operatives fully comply and adhere to company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
Experience in a similar position within the infrastructure, highways or contracting sectors
Experience in asphalt and road laying
CSCS and SMSTS (minimum SSSTS)
Sound interpersonal and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence.
