JN Technical is seeking an experienced Design Engineer
to join a national construction company that specialise in the fabrication and erection of steel structures across the UK.
Key Requirements:
Experience in the UK steelwork industry. Strong design calculation skills, with proficiency in software such as:
Tekla Structural Designer (Fastrak Building Designer) Fastrak Portal Frame Masterframe / STAAD PRO Masterseries Connections
Job Responsibilities:
Work with clients, colleagues, and other professionals to interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Develop and refine design ideas using industry-standard software. Apply loadings and calculate stresses and load paths across various structural components. Ensure compliance with legal guidelines, environmental standards, and health & safety requirements. Maintain quality by adhering to company standards and best practices. Stay updated on industry developments through workshops, professional publications, and networking. Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management. Apply a strong understanding of structural mechanics and engineering principles.
