Location: 30-34 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth BH1 1LG.
Contract Offered: Full‑time, permanent.
Working Hours / Shifts: 8.20 am to 5 pm, alternating weekly between a Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern. These shifts are subject to change.
Vaccination Requirement: As you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage.
Background Check: In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Right to Work Requirement: Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. The role does not offer visa sponsorship.
What does the Phlebotomist role involve?
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
* Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
* Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
* Represent the company professionally at off‑site events and appointments.
* Engage in upselling and cross‑selling at our private health clinic.
* Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
* Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
* Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manage various software systems and daily tasks.
Qualifications
* Previous phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
* Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
* Flexibility to work from off‑site locations at least once per month.
* Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
* Experience in a private healthcare setting.
* Experience in customer service.
* 2 years experience in phlebotomy.
* Valid UK driving licence.
