Role Overview
* Plan and deliver imaginative play-based learning and structured activities, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to try new things.
* Use creative teaching strategies and resources to support literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
* Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using insights to inform planning and feedback.
* Maintain strong partnerships with parents, carers, and colleagues for holistic support of each child.
* Contribute positively to school life through participation in initiatives, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
* Celebrate diversity and individuality, ensuring every pupil is included and encouraged.
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in Early Years (Reception ideally).
* Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development for children aged 4-5.
* Warm, engaging teaching style that inspires learning through play and discovery.
* Organised, adaptable, and proactive approach to classroom practice.
* Genuine commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and collaborative working.
* Desire to support and contribute to a happy school community.
