Whether you’re looking to build your confidence, broaden your experience, or balance work alongside further study or other commitments, we offer the flexibility to suit your needs.
The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Deliver small group activities under the guidance of the class teacher
Help create a positive, supportive learning environment
Build strong relationships with pupils and staff and fully immerse yourself in school life
Take a proactive approach and get involved in all aspects of the classroomRequirements
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (or due to qualify soon)
A reference from your placement, highlighting your interaction with children
A positive attitude towards supporting students and their individual needs
Confidence supporting students with Autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, SEMH, and PMLD
Ability to support with personal care (desirable but not essential)
Strong communication skills and ability to follow direction from the class teacher
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile EducationWhy Join Smile Education?
