Our client, one of the worlds largest organisations has a requirement for an Employment Paralegal for our client based in Belfast
Our client has informed us that the role is full time (35 hours) 3 months with possibility of extension
The role is based in Belfast HQ with hybrid working.
In your new role, you will be responsible for
To provide assistance to Senior Legal Officers and Legal Officers who give legal advice and representation to members in employment proceedings
To support with the representation of members in respect of employment actions for Breach of Contract cases in the County and High Courts and Unlawful Deduction of Wages Claims in the Employment Tribunal following the `PSNI V Agnew & others` Supreme Court
Taking, drafting and proof-reading witness statements
Taking notes in conference and at hearings
Preparing bundles of documents for hearings
Undertaking legal research
Attending on members and witnesses at all stages of the proceedings
Preparing legal documents, including instructions and briefs to barristers
Filing documents with relevant tribunals or authorities
Attending hearings and supporting barristers and solicitors representing the member, when considered appropriate in the circumstances of the case
