Your new roleAs Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day financial operations and supporting the strategic financial sustainability of the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Resources, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements (FRS 102 & Housing SORP)
2. Leading the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting
3. Managing cash flow, loan covenants, and treasury activities
4. Overseeing financial systems and controls, including process improvements
5. Line managing finance staff and supporting financial literacy across the organisation.
6. Contributing to strategic planning and cross-functional projects
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need:
7. A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
8. Proven experience in financial management, ideally within housing, charity, or public sectors
9. Strong knowledge of financial regulations andernance
10. Excellent analytical andmunication skills
11. Proficiency in financial systems and Excel
Desirable:
12. Knowledge of the regulatory environment for social housing
13. Experience with Sage 200 and housing management systems
14. Hands-on experience in a small organisation
