Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting activities and effective financial operation of the function and implementing appropriate financial and accounting procedures to coordinate transactions to ensure compliance to relevant legislative and corporate directives and to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations.What a typical day looks like:
1. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of Balance sheet accounts, coordination, and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/holds up as necessary

2. Research and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation

3. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

4. Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations

5. Ensure proper control and accounting of fixed assets additions, disposals, and transfers

6. Generate reports for labour investigation, expense research, monthly balance sheet and monthly customer profit and loss statement. Review and implement actions resulting from reports

7. Ensure budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met

8. Review all inter-company ICV booking and payments

9. Ensure proper accounting of all transactions

10. Ensure accurate monthly inventory valuation

11. Coordinate/oversee annual physical inventory or stock take

12. Research expenses for cost centres, departments, and projects

13. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as required

14. Management of 3 Accounts Receivable staff

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
15. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or studying towards recognised accounting qualification

16. Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably with a manufacturing business

17. Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards

18. Ability to analyse financial data and identify trends

19. Strong attention to detail and accuracy

20. Good communication and interpersonal skills

21. Proficiency in accounting software and systems

22. Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives

23. Must hold valid UK driver’s license as travel between sites will be required on occasionally
