About the Role
Join Our Dynamic Engineering Team at Kober! We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Engineer to become a part of our Engineering Team at our bacon slicing and packing facility in Cleckheaton. Position Details
* Schedule: 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights), 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am
* Location: Kober, Cleckheaton - Site Based Role
* Contract Type: Permanent
Your key responsibilities
* Complete reactive maintenance when machinery breaks down to minimise impact to line efficiencies.
* Carry out preventative maintenance to schedule.
* Ensure high standards of engineering workmanship across site.
* Work on site development projects as part of the team.
* Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities.
* Lead high standards of safety practices across the business.
* Complete routine tasks without prompt, including any other duties relating to your role.
* Participate in engineering-focused activities.
* Contribute towards continuous improvement projects.
* Support site technical issue resolution and completion of improvement actions through good engineering practices and guidance.
* Identify and share best practice to raise awareness, improve performance and foster a proactive engineering culture.
What are we looking for?
* A minimum of Level 4 HND in Mechanical Engineering
* An electrical engineering qualification would be an added advantage
* Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction
* Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner
* Understanding of environmental requirements and responsibilities
