Overview

GP Partner – Exciting Opportunity at Expanding Cotswold Practice (Cirencester)

Phoenix Health Group is looking for a half time partner (3.5 sessions) to join our happy and thriving practice in Cirencester. Our goal is to provide excellent clinical care to our community and enjoy our time at work. We have a positive and supportive team with a happy and welcoming approach. We are friendly, energetic and sociable.

We are proud of our continuity of care through personal lists, our reputation for excellent patient care, good access with short waits for appointments, and an innovative practice with an excellent CQC rating for older and younger persons care. We have received the Rising Star Award for Research in CRN West of England Awards 23, and the University of Bristol Academy Teaching Practice Award 2024-25 in recognition of our outstanding contribution to undergraduate medical teaching.

GP workload is supported by a range of Allied Health professionals including an in-house practice pharmacy team, 4 UCPs, and a practice nursing team who manage chronic disease patients. We also have a dedicated team of frailty nurses and nursing home matrons to help manage elderly and housebound patients. Systems are in place to streamline administrative tasks via a team of care coordinators. There is minimal use of locums due to an in-house floating salaried GP. In-house specialties include minor surgery, dermoscopy, LARC fitting, specialist menopause & women’s health clinic, joint injections, and acupuncture. We are a training practice and are involved in a successful research programme. We have a stable team; many of us have been working here for years. Friends and Family scores consistently above 95%. Surgeries are in Cirencester, South Cerney, Kemble & Tetbury. Total list size is 24,600 and growing. 12 GP Partners & 3 Salaried GPs. Dispensing in Tetbury & Kemble. Monthly PLTs, daily clinical coffee for the whole team, and Friday Partner lunches.

Additional information: Our patients come from a varied demographic with a mix of urban, rural and University general practice. We use SystmOne. High earning practice. Closing date: Wednesday 10th September 2025. Apply early to avoid disappointment. Vacancy will close on successful appointment.

Job responsibilities

Essential: UK registration (current).
