Salary: £170–£220 per day (dependent on experience)
PK Education are working with a secondary school in South Yorkshire who are seeking an Art Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a long-term sickness cover.
This role is predominantly Art, with a small number of Drama lessons included on the timetable. It’s a great opportunity for someone with a creative background who is confident delivering across both subjects.
The Role
You will be teaching Art across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with some Drama lessons built into the timetable. The school are looking for someone who can bring creativity into the classroom, engage students, and encourage expression through both practical and performance-based learning.
You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour, and supporting students of varying abilities. The department is supportive, and there is scope to make the role your own.
This is initially covering a long-term sickness absence until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of the role continuing into September for the right candidate.
What We’re Looking For
A teacher with experience in Art, with the ability or willingness to deliver some Drama
Strong classroom management and the ability to engage students
A creative and adaptable approach to teaching
Confidence working across KS3 and KS4
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
