Leading the Home Ownership Team as our Home Ownership Manager, you’ll be ensuring that the team deliver excellent services to our customers. The Home Ownership Team provide housing management support to Aster leasehold and shared ownership customers, and we also process Right to Buy and Right to Acquire applications for existing customers to enable them to become homeowners.
As the lead for the team, you’ll be ensuring that objectives and targets are developed, set, implemented and reviewed regularly. You’ll use performance monitoring and management to ensure that an effective service is provided.
Responsibilities within the role will include –
* Promoting a culture of openness, customer focus, participation, good performance and accountability within the team.
* Monitoring team performance and empowering the team to provide high quality services.
* Supporting the senior leaders in the regular review of policies and procedures, whilst remaining fully up to date with current legislative and regulation requirements.
* Reviewing and developing the service, ensuring value for money and continual improvement
* Working with teams from across the Aster Group to ensure seamless delivery for our customers
* Being responsible for delegated budget, ensuring focus on areas of highest priority, whilst maintaining value for money
* Managing stage 2 complaints effectively
About you
You will come to the role as an experienced housing leader, understanding the challenges of leading a remote team. You’ll be able to provide demonstrable experience and understanding of home ownership customers and their needs.
You will also need to support the team through this period of change, with empathy, understanding but also giving assurance and expectations.
You’ll be experienced in service delivery, process improvement and budget maintenance, being able to demonstrate through previous experience how you have led a strong and effective team.
You will be able to show how you have worked with challenging and vulnerable customers and achieved successful results for them and your team.
You will ideally be a professional qualified member of CIH.
This is a hybrid role, so you can base yourself from home if you wish. The role will require you to travel within our operating region to support the team, so you’ll require a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Our core operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London, although we continue to expand into other areas.
