About The Role

New Horizons Primary School is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teacher Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated and supportive team.
In this vital role, you will:
* Deliver lessons to cover teacher PPA time and training
* Work alongside class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils, promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
* Support individual pupils or small groups to access the curriculum and engage actively in their learning
* Play a crucial role in both classroom-based and wider school activities
You will be an integral part of the school community, making a tangible difference every day.
What you will need to succeed:
* A HLTA qualification would be desirable or the attribute to work towards obtaining this
* Previous experience in Key Stage 1 or/and Key Stage 2
* Passionate about inclusive education with the ability to support all learners
* A team player with initiative, able to work collaboratively while also demonstrating independence
* Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people including pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.
* An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
We offer Permanent and Fixed Term contracts.
