Commercial Managing Director – Leisure / Hospitality
London | £100,000 + bonus
A founder-led, design-led leisure and hospitality concept is looking for a commercially driven Managing Director to take full ownership of its London operation (currently two sites, with growth underway).
This is not a corporate role. It's a hands-on leadership position in a fast-scaling business with a strong brand identity and ambitious expansion plans. You'll work directly with the Founder and Creative Director to shape the next phase of growth, bringing structure, commercial discipline, and operational excellence without losing the creativity that defines the brand.
The Commercial Managing Director role
You will have full accountability for the performance and growth of the London business, operating with MD-level autonomy.
Own and deliver the overall business strategy across operations, finance, and marketing
Lead day-to-day performance across sites while driving revenue growth and profitability
Build and develop a high-performing senior leadership team
Introduce scalable processes, SOPs, and operational frameworks
Identify and execute new revenue streams and expansion opportunities
Maintain exceptional service standards aligned with a premium/luxury positioning
Drive financial performance, reporting, and KPI delivery
Partner closely with the Founder on key strategic decisions
About you
This role suits someone who blends commercial sharpness with operational credibility and enjoys building rather than maintaining.
Currently (or previously) MD, Operations Director, or Regional/Cluster Director
Background in luxury hospitality and/or premium leisure (ideally both)
Proven track record of scaling a business or driving significant growth
Strong commercial instinct with experience across multiple revenue streams
Financially literate and operationally hands-on
Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable in a fast-moving, founder-led environment
Experience in London or major European cities is a plus
