You will be reporting to the supervisor and assistant supervisor on a day-to-day basis. Work within a team and have some gardening experience is helpful. Day-to-day work will include (i.e.) emptying street & park bins, pruning shrubs, and grass cutting.
The role
Hours of work: 7.30am until 3.30pm, Monday to Thursday - subject to change.
Friday: 7.30am until 3.00pm - subject to change.
Primary purpose and scope of the job: To carry out relevant duties allocated within the Skill Level 5 banding, which includes driving and responsibility for vehicles (including LGV & HGVs) and the operation of on-road horticultural equipment (both rotary and cylinder) sweepers, management and maintenance of fine turf operation, and other vehicles as required. Carry out risk assessments for all tasks undertaken; perform agreed hard and soft landscape works including turfing; be proficient in the safe and effective use of herbicide (including quad bike operation).
What's needed?
* Chemical licence is an advantage.
* Chainsaw licence is an advantage.
* Experience with mowing machines (Kubota, John Deere, Ransomes).
* Driving and driving with a trailer.
