Job Title: Biomedical Scientist in Blood Transfusion

Rate: £25-30 per hour
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist in Blood Transfusion to join our esteemed client in London. This role requires working in a dynamic and fast-paced laboratory environment. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results, which are essential for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of blood transfusion tests, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. You will analyse and interpret complex test results with a high degree of accuracy, maintain meticulous records and documentation, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care.
Qualifications and Experience:
HCPC registration.
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or a related field.
Extensive experience in blood transfusion, with a minimum of 2 years working in a busy NHS BT lab.
Relevant experience using Ortho Vision analysers.
Previous experience with Haemonetics blood track is advantageous but not essential.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
