Salary - Base salary: £32,050 pa to £37,700 pa, depending on skills & experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 15% paid on top base salary and fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits.

About The Role
* Supporting the Utilities Land Rights Manager in overseeing utility land right cases on the route across diverse land types.
* Assist with the process to ensure consideration sums are negotiated to settlement within governance, industry guidelines and budget parameters so land rights are complete at the right time for the project.
* Liaise with a range of organisations – external strategic suppliers and utility companies along with internal stakeholders – to support the negotiation process effectively.
* Take ownership of all ULR related information that is developed or produced and ensure complete and accurate data is recorded in the Land and Property systems efficiently.
* Provide support to senior members of the team on ULR issues as required.
* Assist with the production of documentation and reports.
* Collaborate with other Land & Property Advisory and Management teams to ensure a consistent approach on ULRs.
* Draft approval papers for governance and approval panel review.
* Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work, supporting organisational initiatives, policies and procedures.
Skills
* Ability to manage communications and negotiations tactfully.
* Effective communication with teams to ensure smooth flow of information.
* External Strategic Supplier management to ensure efficient delivery.
* Effective communication with varied stakeholders.
* Project management skills.
* Report writing skills and data compilation, analysis.
* IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalents.
* Ability to access, analyse and maintain information from multiple IT databases and systems.
Knowledge
* Relevant qualification in Surveying or related property discipline, or work‑based experience, or working towards qualification.
* Understanding of the compulsory purchase process or other government compensation schemes (training will be provided).
* Understanding of the utility and telecommunications industries.
Experience
* Experience working in or with the utilities sector.
* Experience working with suppliers to develop effective working relationships and manage performance for delivery.
* Experience with strategic suppliers.
* Experience working on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
* Experience of project management.
* Experience working with stakeholders to develop effective relationships and manage performance for delivery through the supply chain.
