As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing tailored learning programmes, working closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and other professionals. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN Implement individualised learning plans, including EHCP targets and IEPs Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development Work collaboratively with the SENCO, class teachers, and support staff Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure consistent support Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and achievement Promote an inclusive, safe, and nurturing learning environment Contribute to SEN reviews, meetings, and school planning initiatives Follow all safeguarding and school policies The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Have proven experience teaching pupils with SEN in a school setting Have a strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and interventions Be patient, resilient, and empathetic Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing Be proactive and creative in adapting learning to individual needs The school is located in Manchester, with excellent transport links and a welcoming, diverse community.
