The Best Connection are recruiting for a Quality/Compliance Manager to work for our client who are a world class UK based manufacturer and supplier of industrial laminates, composite materials and machined components in Preston.
Preston | Full Time | Monday - Thursday 08:00 am - 4:30 pm and Friday 08:00 am - 1:00 pm
Job Role:
* Maintain and retain existing approvals including ISO9001, AS9100 and customer-specific approvals
* Improve compliance with customer requirements across all relevant processes
* Lead internal, external and supplier audits
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across compliance systems
* Conduct compliance checks and approvals at customer enquiry and order stages
* Implement and maintain regulatory compliance systems (e.g. ethical sourcing, export requirements)
* Deliver training and raise awareness to support compliance with customer expectations
* Create and maintain documentation to evidence compliance
* Monitor associated processes to ensure ongoing conformity and suitability
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience managing Quality processes
* Proven experience in Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems and/or environments
* Strong document writing experience to support compliance systems
* Good understanding of engineering processes and technical specifications
* Demonstrable experience improving systems, with a focus on compliance management
* Proven team player with a collaborative approach
* Customer-facing experience
* Proficient in Microsoft IT packages
* Commercial and strategic awareness within manufacturing or a similar industry
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability and willingness to travel outside the UK
