Range Planner Contract Type: Permanent Location: York About the role The Range Planner role is fundamental in turning category vision into reality in our stores – working closely with the Trading team to ensure we are providing excellent choice to our customers in all Bestway Retail owned and franchise stores, and building easy to shop visually appealing planograms. Serving over 12 million customers and employing over 28,000 individuals, the Group supports and serves communities through its operations across the UK, Pakistan and the Middle East Responsibilities: Present your range layout principles and proposals to cross functional groups using insight from customers, competitors and suppliers. Ensure that space is maximised and drives sales through analysing data, trends and insight. Create accurate store planograms and communication briefs. Manage multiple workloads to deliver activity against the critical path on time. Ensure delivery of all projects, range reviews and initiatives land right first time. Provide accurate and relevant data to identify the best approach. Input accurate and timely analysis in to range review documentation. Analyse performance to support range and layout recommendations. Visit stores regularly to review implementation of displays and range to gain store feedback and to identify potential improvements and opportunities. Conduct regular competitor visits and liaise with suppliers to keep abreast of industry activities and trends. The Ideal Candidate Micro space planning experience Ability to influence and build strong working relationships. Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills. Strong analytical & competent Excel skills. Great attention to detail and clarity of thinking. Previous merchandising experience within an FMCG or retail environment.
