About The Role Service Support Worker
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire Salary: £, per annum
Hours: per week
Contract: Fixed Term (until end of March )
Driving Requirement: A full driving licence (held for a minimum of years) is essential and access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory Wherever you have experience or not we will equip you with the skills to thrive. By providing support and resources, you will empower people to regain their independence and confidence, all while maintaining their dignity. What will a day in the life of a Support Worker involve?
1. Providing practical and emotional assistance to people in their own homes.
2. Supporting service users with household tasks, meal preparation and shopping.
3. Encouraging and promoting independence, enabling individuals to maintain their hobbies and interests.
4. Building positive relationships with service users, their families and other healthcare professionals.
5. Ensuring all care documentation is accurate and up to date.
What does it take to be a successful Support Worker?
6. Previous experience in a similar care, preferably within a healthcare or social care setting.
7. Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals’ lives.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
9. Knowledge of person-centred care principles and a commitment to upholding dignity and autonomy.
10. Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
11. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and bank holidays.
12. A full UK driving licence (minimum years experience) is essential and access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory.
