Toolmaker – Redditch – Permanent – Day shift, early finish on Friday
Are you a skilled and experienced Toolmaker? The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of tooling and dies to precise engineering drawings within tight tolerances.
Working for a leading global manufacturer of precision-forged and machined components. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility producing high-performance tooling for the aerospace and automotive industries.
Responsibilities
* Manufacture extrusion, mould, and finish dies from raw materials
* Produce single-stage clip tools
* Operate manual and CNC machinery
* Manual milling and turning
* 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling (Heidenhain and WinMax controls)
* Perform manual compensation and bench work
* Polish tools to 320-grain finish
* Carry out PPM servicing and repair of tooling
* Respond to and resolve tooling breakdowns
Requirements
* Toolmaker apprenticeship or minimum 5 years' experience in a toolroom environment
* Experience setting and operating CNC machinery
* Ideally experienced in heavy manufacturing, preferably aerospace or automotive sectors
* Solid understanding of engineering drawings and measurement tools
