Traffic Coordinator

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 plus £3,000 Night Allowance (up to £35,000 total)

About the Role
As a Traffic Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for organising vehicles and drivers to ensure efficient delivery and resource use. You’ll work closely with operations and service teams to maintain vehicle standards and ensure compliance with EU drivers’ legislation. Your role will involve managing transport schedules, briefing drivers, handling real-time delivery updates, and supporting the team with administrative tasks.
What You’ll Do:
1. Plan and organise vehicles and drivers to maximise efficiency
2. Manage costs and resources to support smooth transport operations
3. Dispatch loads and brief drivers before and after shifts
4. Coordinate vehicle maintenance with workshops and service providers
5. Ensure all drivers comply with EU legislation
6. Manage time effectively and work independently to meet deadlines
7. Update customers with delivery information as it happens
8. Handle queries and escalate issues when necessary
9. Keep accurate records and support general admin tasks
Who You Are:
10. Organised and able to juggle multiple priorities
11. Comfortable working independently and managing your time
12. Experienced in transport coordination or a similar role
13. Familiar with EU drivers’ regulations and vehicle maintenance processes
14. A clear communicator, both with drivers and internal teams
