Job Title: CNC Turner - Semi or Skilled Machinist Location: Birkenhead Salary: ?28,000 - ?38,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Days - Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm Breaks: 45-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks Job Overview: A great opportunity has become available for a CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering company on a permanent, days-based role. This position is open to both semi-skilled and fully skilled machinists. Training is offered for the right semi-skilled candidate, while experienced Turner/Programmers can expect to earn at the higher end of the salary bracket. The work involves 1-off to small batch production of high-precision components, specifically small valves ranging from 2 to 3 inches, using CNC turning machines with Siemens and XYZ controls. Key Responsibilities: Set and operate CNC turning machines Produce high-precision components from engineering drawings Machine small valves (2"-3") to tight tolerances Operate Siemens and XYZ controls Self-inspect parts to ensure quality standards Work mainly on 1-off and small batch production Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment Ideal Candidate: Experience in CNC turning (Siemens/XYZ control experience preferred) Confident reading and working from engineering drawings Comfortable machining small, detailed components Positive attitude, self-motivated, and able to work independently Willingness to learn - training provided for semi-skilled applicants Skilled Turner/Programmers will be considered for the higher salary range Benefits: Competitive salary: ?28,000 - ?38,000 depending on experience Days-only shift with an early finish on Fridays Paid breaks - 45-minute lunch plus two 15-minute breaks Training and development offered Stable, long-term opportunity with varied, interesting work What next?
