The successful
Teacher of Sport
will deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated PE and sport lessons across Key Stages 3-5. The timetable will be primarily focused on sport, although there may be some additional subject cover where required to support the wider team. As a
Teacher of Sport
in a specialist SEND setting, you will adapt physical activities to suit pupils with a variety of learning needs, ensuring lessons are accessible, engaging and supportive of each pupil's physical development and wellbeing. Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering inclusive PE lessons as a Teacher of Sport across KS3, KS4 and Post-16 Differentiating sport and physical activity for pupils with SLD, PMLD and Autism Encouraging participation, confidence and physical development through structured sport activities Supporting pupils with varying communication styles and sensory profiles Working collaboratively with support staff and therapists to ensure pupils can access the curriculum Contributing positively to the wider timetable where needed The incoming

We are seeking a Teacher of Sport who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has a relevant academic background in Sport, Physical Education or related subject (e.g. BSc, PGCE) Has experience teaching within SEND settings (essential) Can confidently adapt lessons for pupils with complex learning needs Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to support the wider school timetable if required Understands the value of sport in supporting confidence, communication and wellbeing A strong Teacher of Sport will bring enthusiasm, patience and a commitment to inclusive teaching practice. Compliance Requirements
QTS certificate Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one via Tara) Minimum 2 years professional references Availability for a short video interview between now and 27th March Ability to attend a trial or visit day before half term or during the first week back Pay & Contract Details
