This is a role for someone who takes pride in neat, compliant work, enjoys working in customers’ homes, and wants to be part of the move towards cleaner, smarter energy across Surrey, Hampshire and the surrounding GU postcode areas.
Why this role
You’ll be joining a busy, forward-thinking contractor delivering domestic retrofit projects, including electrical upgrades, solar PV installations, battery storage systems and related home energy work. Most projects are local and achievable within the day, with occasional working away, typically around once a month.
The business is growing because demand is growing. They now need another reliable, qualified electrician who can come in, get stuck into quality domestic work, and build a long-term future with the company.
What you’ll do
You’ll work across domestic retrofit projects, carrying out electrical installation, upgrades, testing support and renewables-related work in existing homes. You’ll be part of a small, capable team where workmanship, attitude and customer care matter.
For the right person, the company will fund solar PV and battery storage training from the outset. They are looking for someone who sees that as an investment in their future and is serious about staying, growing and becoming a key part of the team.
About you
You’ll be a qualified electrician with strong domestic experience, ideally with Level 3, 18th Edition and either the full NVQ route or 2391. Solar PV, battery storage or EV experience would be a bonus, but it is not essential if you have the right core skills and attitude.
You’ll be based within a sensible commute of the Farnham, Guildford or wider GU postcode area, and you’ll be comfortable working in customers’ homes to a high standard.
Rewards & growth
You’ll receive a salary of £40,000 to £42,000, a company van, paid renewables training, progression support, and extra payments for working away, including overnight bonus and food allowance. There is also a small customer review bonus scheme.
