Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Design Manager to join our dynamic Eastern South Construction team, working on an exciting £100m+ defence project in beautiful Suffolk!
Location
You'll be based in our Essex office with regular visits to the Suffolk site.

Your Responsibilities
As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in our Eastern South team. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Manage the design process during both the pre-construction and construction phases.
* Analyze enquiry documents, particularly the Employer's Requirements.
* Collaborate with internal departments to produce a comprehensive Contractor's Proposal document.
* Oversee our design process through external consultants.
* Drive innovative and cost-effective solutions into the design.
* Ensure timely progress on design issues and that designers meet information delivery dates.
* Participate in tender launch and adjudication meetings as required.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* Experience delivering high-value, complex design work from a main contractor perspective.
* The ability to organize, plan, program, and manage workloads effectively.
* A solid understanding of Building Regulations and Planning Permission procedures.
* Knowledge of different Client procurement routes.
* Experience with site/contract procedures (this is a plus!).
