We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Clinical Lead to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Millsike, a category C Prison located in Full Sutton, East Yorkshire.
HMP Millsike is a newly built prison with an operational capacity of 1500 places. As part of the government’s drive to cut reoffending, prisoners will spend their sentences learning the skills they need to find work on release.
This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.
Hours
Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 16:00
Salary
This position is full time, with an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Substance Misuse Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing clinical leadership and management to registered nurses and care teams.
* Working closely with partners to maintain a high-quality clinical service for patients. Ensuring your clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Delivering a range of treatment options, including clinical and psychosocial interventions.
* Monitoring therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects.
* Supporting group work delivery of clinical interventions.

Requirements
* NMC Registered Nurse – Adult or Adult Nurse
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
* RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
* Experience working with opiate-dependent patients
* Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
