What you'll do As an Analyst (HR) at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for providing HR management information, data analysis, and insights to internal and external stakeholders. Using statistical and quantitative analytical techniques such as SQL, Python, MicroStrategy, and Snowflake, you will extract, interrogate, and analyse data to address people-related business challenges. Collaborating with various teams, you will enhance the business and colleague data model, ensuring data integrity and hierarchy. Acting as a trusted advisor on people insight and reporting, you will coach and advise the HR team on accessing, analysing, and interpreting colleague data, while designing and building new data products based on customer specifications. Your role will also involve supporting ad-hoc analytics, promoting data protection principles, and continuously seeking opportunities for efficiencies and automation in data analysis and reporting processes. Who you are As an Analyst (HR) at Sainsbury's, you are a numerate and analytical professional with a passion for data analysis and a keen eye for detail. With a background in mathematics, statistics, or a related field, coupled with experience in manipulating and integrating large complex data sets, you possess the ability to extract valuable insights and present them in a clear, concise manner to a diverse range of stakeholders. Your proactive approach, inquisitive nature, and commitment to delivering high-quality work enable you to anticipate customer needs, provide innovative solutions, and continuously improve the impact of data analytics within the HR function of the organisation. Essential Criteria Demonstrable experience using SQL and Python for data extraction and analysis - candidates must show practical application of these tools in a professional setting. Proven ability to work with large, complex data sets - including manipulation, integration, and analysis to produce actionable insights. Evidence of stakeholder engagement in a large organisation - including managing expectations and translating business requirements into analytical outputs. Ability to apply statistical or quantitative techniques to solve business problems - demonstrated through project work, reporting, or insight generation.
