A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic apprentice to join East Suffolk Council’s as an Administration Apprentice (Waste and Contract Management). Our team is responsible for liaising with East Suffolk Services Limited to ensure that our operational services are delivered to residents.
Your role
Your role will be to provide day to day technical and administrative support to the Strategic Waste and Contract Management Team.
This will include a variety of tasks including administering the council’s, assisting with compiling feedback from play equipment inspections, and logging data on insurance claims and complaints regarding trees. You will also be involved in purchasing and mapping the location of litter bins, maintaining records of community litter picks, assisting in compiling fly tipping statistics and other waste related administrative duties.
What you will need
You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and IT skills and a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 -9 (or equivalent). Your role will include communicating with the wider council, residents, community groups and East Suffolk Services Limited. No previous administrative experience is required, as full training will be provided.
