This is a brand-new role will be an integral part of our catering function and will provide administrative support to our Executive Chef. This role will be based at our Head Office in Worthing.
Working alongside our Executive Chef you will ensure that our 8 Kitchens and Bistro run efficiently.
The ideal candidate for this role would have some payroll, and rota knowledge, together some knowledge of budgets with an ability to learn quickly whilst in the role.
Being able work unsupervised is paramount, as is the capability of holding multiple pieces of information at the same time. Working in a methodical, structured way, will ensure that deadlines are achieved and the kitchens run smoothly.
Hours: 9am – 2pm – 4 days a week (Monday and Friday are a must)
Job responsibilities:
1. Daily coordination of up to 50 staff rotas using the Dayforce system – this includes ensuring adequate cover is maintained across all Kitchens for every day of the year and even within a single day, when changes often happen – annual leave control; absence management; proactively managing gaps in the rota; changes to staff contracts; maintaining personal details; communicating to cover shifts; pay queries;
2. Managing the administration of the provisions budget and accounts across all 8 kitchens and Bistro
3. Approving/checking invoices for suppliers and agencies
We are looking for someone who is:
4. Hands on in their approach – able to work on your own initiative – a real problem solver
5. An ability to think on your feet and under pressure when dealing with multiple tasks
6. Good communication skills and the ability to get on with people but be able to act with confidence when dealing with staff, managers, directors and contractors
7. IT skills such as Excel, Word, MS Office etc.
8. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
