Overview
An exciting and immediate opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer and Personal Assistant (PA) to work with the Chief Executive of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The role will also provide support to the Deputy Chief Executive and will provide line management to the Corporate PA team. This post is based at JB Russell House, Gartnavel Royal Hospital and is offered on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
* Provide Personal Assistant support at a senior level and undertake all aspects of secretarial/administrative support for the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive.
* Line manage the Corporate PA team.
* Manage a fast-paced, unpredictable workload with professionalism, discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting.
* Demonstrate flexibility with excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Maintain a high level of competency in using Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
* Support the senior leadership team in the Board to deliver services across a wide portfolio of high-profile and critical work programmes, working collaboratively both internally and externally.
* Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including Senior Management Team, Directors, Clinicians, Operational Managers, Non-Executive Board Members, Scottish Government Health Directorate, the Cabinet Secretary's office, MSPs/MPs/MEPs, other health organisations, partner agencies, trade unions and members of the public, promoting a customer-focused image of the organisation.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in a demanding PA, Team Secretary or Administrative Officer role, with understanding of the NHS or a large multisite organisation within the Public or Private sector.
* A proven track record of working at Senior Management/Board level in a busy organisation with competing priorities.
* Applications from those with a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to a Degree in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or significant relevant equivalent experience.
* Strong organisational ability, with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills to provide comprehensive administrative support.
