Tax Manager (Practice)
Congleton
£40k - £60k DOE (open to negotiation dependent on experience)
Fulltime; Monday to Friday
9am – 5:30pm
Based in the lovely market-town of Congleton, my client is a reputable and growing accountancy practice committed to delivering exceptional financial services to a wide range of clients. They are known for their professional development opportunities, client-centric approach, and supportive work environment. As part of their expansion, they are looking for a talented CTA or ATT qualified Tax Manager.
Role
As the Tax Manager, based in Congleton, you will manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
Day to day, you may be expected to:
1. Handle personal tax compliance work, including the preparation of personal, partnership, and trust tax returns.
2. Provide client advisory work, supporting Partners directly on complex matters.
3. Offer guidance and support to other members of the tax team.
4. Engage in IHT planning, advice, and compliance.
5. Manage and respond to HMRC enquiries professionally and efficiently.
6. Deal with employment-related securities.
7. Ensure all work is completed to strict deadlines, maintaining high levels of organisation and attention to detail.
Requirements
To be successful as the Tax Manager, you must have substantial accountancy practice experience in the UK and currently be working at a Tax Manager level. If you are currently a Tax Senior or similar, you may also be considered, if you feel like you are ready to transition to the next level!
In addition to the above, you will also offer:
1. CTA or ATT qualification is essential.
2. Proven experience within an accountancy practice.
3. Strong technical knowledge and experience in personal tax.
4. Exposure to company tax is desirable but not essential.
5. A proactive and professional approach with excellent communication skills.
6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
7. Previous experience supporting team members and offering mentorship.
