About the role
Vision for Education are currently looking for an active Teaching Assistant who is looking for a new Outdoor Education role.
The role is permanent and full time.
Within this role, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with students with SEMH needs. Each day will be different and you will be off the school site most days. Throughout the week, you will take part in a large amount of outdoor activities such as:
-Kayaking
-Surfing
-Mountain bike cycling
-Rock climbing
-Hill walking
Due to the high amount of physical activity, we are ideally looking for somebody with previous experience and a huge passion for being outdoors. Previous Teaching Assistant experience is desired but not essential.
About the school
The school is a SEMH setting, aimed at providing social, emotional and academic support to a small group of students aged 5-16. Each Teaching Assistant works 1:1 or 2:1 with the students and are responsible for each pupil when off site.
The role is 08:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday. Regular reports and meetings will be had with staff and other educational professionals. Prior to starting the role, you will need to undergo a DBS check through Vision for Education, unless you have one, relating to children and on the Update Service. We will also require references from your most recent and most relevant employers.

2. Passion for outdoor activities
3. Driving Licence

Salary
£13 to £13 per hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
