Assembly Technician
Location: Abingdon
Salary: £34,000 £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Were looking for experienced Assembly Technicians to help bring these advanced systems to life. You\'ll be hands-on with the mechanical and electrical assembly of compact, high-performance systems, playing a vital role in the development, testing, and refinement of next-generation technologies.
What You\'ll Be Doing
* Assembling mechanical and electrical components
* Assisting in test setups, instrumentation, and data collection
* Conducting inspections and troubleshooting
* Collaborating with engineers on quality and process improvement
* Maintaining production records, inventory, and purchasing logs
* Driving improvements in safety, efficiency, and cost
What We\'re Looking For
Essential:
* Solid experience with mechanical assembly
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality systems
Desirable:
* Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
* Background in scaling up assembly systems or manufacturing facilities
* Familiarity with drafting SOPs and improving manufacturing processes
