Civil Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities
* Develop civil design solutions for water and wastewater networks, pumping stations, treatment works, and associated infrastructure.
* Prepare drawings, models, specifications, and design documentation using CAD / BIM tools.
* Carry out engineering calculations, hydraulic assessments, and feasibility studies.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
* Ensure designs meet health, safety, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
* Provide technical input during project delivery and support site teams when required.
* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
* Chartered or working towards professional status (ICE or equivalent).
* Experience in the UK water sector (clean water, wastewater, or drainage).
* Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar).
* Strong understanding of UK water industry standards and regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Location
Newcastle, Leeds, or Brighton (office or hybrid, with site visits as required).
