Electrician Monday to Friday - 08:00am - 4:00pm, Edinburgh
£35,121 - £37,500 per annum
Brief
An Electrician is needed for a well-known facilities management organisation based in Edinburgh. They are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrician who takes pride in their work.
The successful candidate must have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have proven experience in a similar role performing electrical maintenance duties. A keen interest in becoming an electrician is essential. Hospital maintenance experience is a plus!

What the role entails:
1. Working directly under the Electrical Supervisor, ensuring the safe and continuous operation of mechanical, electrical engineering services, and building plant as part of a maintenance team, including subcontractors.
2. Performing electrical maintenance of assets efficiently and effectively, following planned preventative maintenance schedules or reactive work orders.
3. Managing tasks through to completion, including fault diagnosis and sourcing parts.
4. Following best working practices at all times.
5. Managing backlog works and assisting with specialist projects.
6. Potentially undertaking other tasks related to the wider M&E team.
What experience you need to be a successful Electrician:
* Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship with proven experience in a similar role.
* Hospital maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
* Competent in working on building service systems and equipment relevant to the role.
* Familiar with the systems and equipment involved.
* Possess technical knowledge to undertake work safely.
* Recent first aid (including CPR) training within the last three years; training can be provided if needed.
* Knowledge of Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and permit to work procedures is desirable.
* Ability to obtain a Basic Disclosure Scotland check.
