Pharmacy Technician (Wakefield North PCN)
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate tojoin our existing team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, working within theGP Surgeries that form Wakefield North Primary Care Network (PCN). The currentteam, led by our Pharmacy Lead and Lead Pharmacy Technician, have built strongand valued working relationships amongst themselves, other roles within the PCNand our GP practices as well as colleagues from neighbouring PCNs.You will play a key role supporting safe and effective prescribing across our member GP practices, working closely with Clinical Pharmacists, GPs and the wider healthcare team.

Main duties of the job
You will join a growing multi-disciplinaryteam, working collaboratively to support GP practices and improve patientoutcomes. The team includes Care Coordinators, Clinical Pharmacists, PharmacyTechnicians, Paramedics, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, a Social PrescribingLink Worker, Outreach Nurses, and a Mental Health Practitioner.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be an integralmember of the general practice team, working within professional boundariesacross practices within the PCN. The role operates under the supervision of thePCN Clinical Pharmacists to support the safe, accurate and timely use ofprescribed medicines.
You will provide technical andclinical support to Clinical Pharmacists and clinicians with the practices, includingresponding to medication-related queries, undertaking medicines reconciliationfollowing care transitions and supporting prescribing safety through audits anddata presentation. The role may also involve patient-facing work, including thedelivery of technician-led clinics where appropriate.

Experience
* Excellent communication skills, demonstrating clear and polite verbal skills

* Experience working in a primary care setting / PCN
* Knowledge of General Practice repeat prescribing systems

Other
* Holds a full driving licence with access to a vehicle to enable travel across the PCN area and Wakefield District
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Mathematics and English (Grade C or above) level or equivalent
* NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services or equivalent.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Completion of CPPE primary care educational pathway.
