Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: Competitive, based on experience.

The Role
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for refurbishment projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building practices, refurbishment processes, and commercial awareness. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive and compliant tenders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial refurbishment projects.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive take-offs and pricing.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
* Conduct site visits and surveys to inform cost planning.
* Assess risk and value engineering opportunities within project specifications.
* Develop and present tender submissions in line with client requirements.
* Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and internal teams.
* Support the project handover process, providing relevant financial and scope information to delivery teams.
* Monitor changes in design or project scope and update estimates accordingly.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, ideally with a focus on refurbishment projects.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in estimating software and MS Excel.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
* Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is advantageous but not essential.
