We have a Maintenance Operative – Fabric opportunity on a 6‑month fixed term contract, operating as a mobile role supporting the Ashtead region and surrounding patch. A van and tools will be provided.
The Details
1. Salary: From £29,000 per annum
2. Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00
3. Contract: Fixed Term – 6 Months
4. Location: Mobile across Ashtead, Caterham, Dorking, Leatherhead, Reigate and surrounding areas
5. Qualification Required: NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (essential)
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Operative – Fabric, you will carry out essential fabric and carpentry tasks across NHSPS sites, including:
6. Fire door inspections
7. Remedial and repair work
8. Work on locks, windows, doors and general fabric elements
9. Supporting safe, compliant, well‑maintained premises
Where You’ll Be
This is a mobile role, providing fabric maintenance support across NHS Property Services premises within your designated Ashtead patch. A company vehicle will be supplied.
