The Role
The Document Controller plays a crucial role in effectively managing and maintaining documentation systems in line with regulatory requirements – ensuring all documents are properly organised, stored and distributed, maintaining compliance standards and ensuring accuracy of information.
The Person
* The successful candidate will be a skilled Document Controller, with prior experience in the Construction Industry.
* Ability to understand and interpret architectural details, specifications, standards and compliance documentation.
* An exceptional communicator who can build relationships with ease.
* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multitask effectively – demonstrated excellent organisational skills.
Responsibilities
* Keep up-to-date files of all project information including creating registers as necessary.
* Create and manage a document tracker and to log, save and distribute any incoming documentation.
* Distribute all project documents internally and externally.
* Collate drawing and technical information produced and undertake any required submissions – utilising the client’s online data management processes where required.
* Ensure the integrity of ‘live’ information, the storage and archiving of historic data. Ensure all drawings are kept up to date – tracking any changes.
* Carry out QA checks on documents, drawings and revisions – flagging any concerns to the Design Principal.
* Build and maintain sound technical knowledge of the SAS product range.
