Job Purpose
This position reports directly to the APU and the EOS Manager and is responsible for supporting the EnerSys Operating System (EOS) transformation efforts. The role involves implementing and supporting actions to improve operations and processes, including safety, quality, delivery, growth, margin expansion, and inventory levels. Projects will align with the region/plants' lean deployment efforts and meet established business guidelines, criteria, and metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support EOS goals by executing against long and short-term objectives.
2. Collaborate with other departments in the APU to identify and eliminate process obstacles.
3. Assist in system and process changes to support EOS initiatives.
4. Utilize mapping techniques to optimize information, material, and production flows.
5. Lead and participate in shopfloor improvement projects and Gemba walks.
6. Act as a change agent by supporting Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide training on lean tools and methodologies under the guidance of the EOS Manager.
7. Maintain visual performance tools, accountability boards, and visual management systems.
8. Support cycle time analysis, work balance improvements, and workplace analysis.
9. Participate in problem solving, root cause analysis, and preventative actions.
10. Develop efficient utilization of people, machinery, materials, information, and energy to improve products and services.

* Experience deploying lean tools such as 5S and problem solving techniques.
* Ability to lead shopfloor improvement teams.

Education / Qualifications
* Minimum of 24 months manufacturing process experience.
* Certified lean belt or equivalent experience.
