Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Health Care Assistant to join our Intensive Care team. The role involves assisting healthcare practitioners with routine health-related activities, completing personal care, and supporting the effective running of the unit.
The candidate will provide clinical support, maintain stock and equipment levels, and work closely with nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to the trust values.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain communication with patients, relatives, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care.
* Develop own skills and knowledge and provide information to others to enhance their development.
* Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others in own work area.
* Assist in maintaining and developing services.
* Ensure own actions help maintain quality.
* Assist in assessing people’s health and wellbeing and related needs.
* Assist in planning, delivering and evaluating programmes to meet people’s health and wellbeing needs.
* Assist in the use of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
* Assist the nurse in charge/ward manager to ensure the appropriate and effective delivery of facility services to maintain the patient environment.
* Work flexibly and unsociable hours to meet service demands.
Salary and Benefits: Starting salary for new NHS staff is £24,937 (minimum Band 3 salary point from 1st April 2025).
