Your Role
As a Senior Active Travel Officer you will support the Active Travel Manager and the Active Travel Network Director to deliver a comprehensive programme of behaviour change activity that supports Greater Manchester's ambitious plans to achieve a step-change in the proportion of trips made by active travel modes.
You will work with a wide range of stakeholders from funders and Local Authorities to community groups and suppliers to develop and deliver a range of projects and interventions that will make a difference to people’s lives.
The role will also involve reporting on and monitoring the impact of live projects through the collection of data and case studies helping to build a case for future investment.

Working with a variety of stakeholder, you will need to be able to listen and to communicate clearly and effectively to a range of audiences. A good understanding of the benefits of and barriers to active travel is key to this role, as is experience of developing and delivering interventions to influence behaviour.
This role requires significant experience of leading the development and delivery of strategic programmes, as well as meeting deadlines, managing budgets, and delivering on operational targets. You will also have experience of managing and motivating a small team.
