Role specific responsibilities
* Fulfilling the project welding activities in a cost‑efficient, effective and safe manner. Projects are located worldwide therefore international travel may be required.
* Monitoring and collating data from R&D materials and welding projects. Providing budget‑estimates and/or firm offers for tenders, projects or internal clients with respect to welding activities and equipment.
* Review of technical specifications for tender/contract purposes, determining cost, quality and cycle time impact.
* Calculation of welding cycle times for pipeline installation rate estimates for tender and planning purposes.
* QC and inspection functions during WPQT, WQ and Welding Development. In addition, monitoring of production welding on site may be required.
* Occasional travel to worksites may be required.

Job Specific Education Required:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in welding/materials engineering or equivalent level through experience; IWE qualification is preferred.
Work Experience Required:
* Experience of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
* Must be willing to undertake offshore survival.
The requirement to travel:
20% of the time.
